Terrible tip. If the windshield got a micro fracture this heat can easily break the whole window.

#19 I don't live where it gets cold. Wouldn't this person have to run in and get new hot water after every 2 columns? Would they not refreeze in the meantime?

I would guess one end of the baby/pet gate to prevent them from getting in/out of parts of the house/stairs.
