Penny, And, now that I think of it, your punctuation also is pretty sloppy. Double quotations are used to indicate speech. Referring to previous text has conventionally been indicated by single quotation marks. Emphasis is shown by either single quotations or, nowadays, asterisks. Also, your placing of 'family' and 'Christmas' is done with no indication of whether they're part of the main sentence, in which case they are just random words with no punctuation to indicate whether they're part of the sentence or not. If they are part of the sentence, then you have a capital 'I' in the word 'It' in the middle of the sentence, which of course is fuct. Maybe in the future you might think before you get high and mighty and pedantic.
