they don't just store books they also have pictures, maps, microfilm. and some of that stuff is ancient. going back 1200 years. and it's only one of many in Germany.

#2 Why? Waste of plastic and very stupid because it becomes a hole the sap can leak through. The roots of a tree work fine to absorb nutrients placed next to them. It would be better to dig a hole and pour the contents in.
