Fast food is still OK in some rare situations. Unknown country/city, not enough time, no locals to ask: McD/7-11/BurgerKing/Subway or any of the international chains is preferable over local mystery-meat dispensary. At least you know that the franchises have some minimal standards, otherwise they wouldn't keep their franchise.

I worked at a BK a long time ago. A vegetarian ordered a whopper without the patty, and a worker just took the patty off an already made whopper. The customer was furious.

#4 all ice machines get that mold on them, and they are virtually impossible to clean because of how they are made. This is why most restaurants rent the things and replace them after a little while.

#4 ...if you're so freaked out about the meat juices, go lick some of that green algae then. Vegan doughnut.

The problem is they can’t touch the fry receptacle and we have to pour SCORCHING HOT, BOILING OIL–COVERED FRIES directly into the fry box. I have burn scars. We all have burn scars. And don’t get me started on people that order a small. It’s PAPER. You’re killing us.”
