Rails/guides for those solve most of the wind problem. Kinda had to see, but those white things at the bottom of the window look like end of a rope/wire guide for the shade.
If your windows are facing south then you get a metric f-ton of unwanted heat in the summer, heat you would be better off reflecting before it gets into the window as air conditioning (hot to cold) is not as common in Northern Europe as elsewhere or as needed most of the year. So it might be smarter to avoid heating up insides of the flat, instead of spending power on cooling it with an AC you only use like 1month a year.

That's common in Europe, not only in Norway. But we normally don't use 'blinds', we use "Rolladen" (shutters).
So... This list is very disturbing. In California they sold Milk that way too, when I was there in 2005. Every car stopped ad red lights and crossings, back in that days. And I think it shout be normal, not to name your daughter Bruce.
