#15 Actually, fungi evolved 1.3 billion yrs ago, and trees about 700 million yrs. Also interesting to note is that fungi are more closely related to animals than they are to plants.

If the Milky Way were the size of the continental US, our solar system would be the size of the nucleus of a single cell. The universe is so vast that our minds are not able to fully grasp it's size. We can do the math, but due to our relative perception of the world, we can't actually process the sheer volume of space between objects.

#16 total BS. Same metal surfaces touch each other on the space station all the time.

Just look up "cold welding," dummy. Maybe you'll learn something today.

Elisa,

Is cold welding in space real?
Don't worry, though, cold-welding in space, despite the seeming ease of it, doesn't happen very often. Typically, all metals launched into space have a thin coating of oxidation on them due to contact with the Earth's atmosphere. Once in orbit, the coating is usually still present, so cold-welding doesn't occur.
