Midge,

First of all, how would you know which sources Perry wouls use? And secondly, why would he or she not think them credible?
Plus, do research where? The gay animal registration office?

I'm not the one that screamed it was fake first. You make the claim, you get the proof why it's fake.
This may seem a bit of a hard concept to you though since you obviously think I was saying it to you for some reason, but try.

#36 Who is supplying this information? Where are they "observing" this behavior? The only reason a male animal would gay it up is if there was a shortage of females. There are no natural f@gs in the animal kingdom other than in humans, and I still say that's a mass delusional psychosis. Homosexuality plays no part in the natural evolution of life. At best, it's a mutation that's simply been allowed to propagate.

Dicy,
Well, a quick google shows studies published in "Nature Ecology & Evolution", "Molecular Ecology", "Proceedings of the National Academy of Science", "Paleobiology", "Animal Behavior", "Nature", etc. Given that there are around 1500 species of animal have been observed doing so, it's hardly a rare thing.

Dicy,

Homosexual behaviour has been shown in loads of animals. Your claim doesn't even make sense. Why would an male animal go for another male if there was no female available? They can't reproduce. And obviously they know the difference.
And if were talking about mutations, mutations ARE evolution. Evolution is a mutation that worked better for the species so it kept spreading like an animal born with a skin colour that blended in with the environment.
And this would really be an odd "mutation" that keeps popping up again and again throughout recorded history all over the world...

Deborah, a male animal would "go for" another male if there was no female available as a response to a strong sexual urge; i.e. the animal is horny.
Mutations are evolution is correct. However, exclusive homosexuality would be an evolutionary dead end as there is no reproduction and extinction would occur for that particular mutation. That doesn't mean the mutation wouldn't spring up again, as nature randomly tries anything.

Gerrie,

Yet, I don't see any other exact "mutation" like homosexuality, which obviously isn't a mutation, pop up again and again...
But the main point is why it even matters to you why millions upon millions of people and animals even have this, according to you, "mutation".
Why can't you simply accept that by far most people in this world are not the same as you in one way or another and that's ok?

Deborah 2 year s ago
Catherine,

For more and more people it isn't aberrant. Just because YOU are a homophobe, doesn't mean that everyone else is.
And in my opinion trying to make people feel bad or even harming them because of who or what they are is pretty aberrant and never OK...

Deborah,Just because some one finds gayness revolting doesn't mean they're a homophobe. I have lots of gay friends but they don't act gay. Even they avoid the guys who talk like girls and act effeminate.

Susan,

Correct. It sounds more scary than saying the hottest month since 1850. And that claim is likely false as well. NASA/NOAA have fudged the temperature records to match the climate models. This erased the hotter months in the 1930's & 40's.
