I used to get inspired by this kind of list on YouTube. I may did watch 1-2 movies that were recommend. After doing that, I realized why these movies are not popular.
Just because it has a good rating and Oscar worthy does not make it a popular movie. "The Hurt Locker" has a 7.5 on IMDB as well, and won the Best Picture Oscar in 2009 but only grossed $14,700,000 at the box office. Not exactly a hit movie. Well, I haven't heard of most of these and partly grew up in the era. So maybe most were not well advertised or quickly forgotten or even came out with big well-known blockbusters that eclipsed them.
