#48 No. Chinese is spoken by more people than any other language, but they're all in China. English is the most widely spoken language in the world, especially in business. Seriously, how many people do you know who speak fecking Chinese? If you say "lots," you're in China.

Mandarin has 1,117 million speakers and 918 million are native.
Interestingly, 20% of people who connect to the internet speak Chinese, but only just over 1% of the content available on the web is in the Chinese language.
my assumption is that this is largely related to the big Chinese firewall and how hard it is for Chinese people to get access to the wider internet. so in return why create content for people who can't see it anyway.
