#4 - Those "beautiful bowls" have a hole in the bottom, not too useful as a bowl.

Victor, depends entirely on what you want to keep in them. Fruit or knitting yarn for instance; no problem at all. Soup would indeed be slightly more problematic.

A few good ones but most are pretty hideous.
