#19 - I was in a pub in Edinburgh in '97 that had about 150 beers on tap. All the locals were drinking MGD. So I finally asked one of them why they would drink that cr#p with all the good beers on tap and the answer was "because it comes in a bottle."
#2 Actually, the best selling literature in America is in total number even less than in the Netherlands. The number of bookstores per inhabitant is the biggest in Island.
Let's bust that myth, New York City ranks 6th in the world with 10 bookstores per 100,000 inhabitants, Austin TX comes in 10th with 8.2 bookstores per 100,000, and Amsterdam comes in 13th with 6 per 100,000 inhabitants.
#19... I landed in USA 1981. The beer was cr#p. I almost quit until Heineken became available mid 80's. Forward 40 years and most of the my local bars have 10 times the selection of pubs back in UK. So I quit drinking Heineken for IPA's.... How things change.....
#8 nobody believes that, at least not in Europe. It's the opposite: we think you are all really poor, with barely enough money for food and rent. With no money left to pay medical bills. Except for the billionaires, of course.
