#7 Disagree, with respect. The Hobbit was the only book treated well in the three-episode movie, if only for how much of the book was included. The original LOTR series (3 books, one movie each) was a truncated version of the trilogy, leaving out major characters and activities in the interest of doing each book in one go. My impression is that you either (1) have not read the 4 books or (2) Read the Hobbit and didn't care for it. Personally, I would have liked all the movies to have been at least 3 parters.
"The Giver. It is an absolute legend of a YA novel that was destroyed by Hollywood. Making the main characters older, creating a non-existent love triangle, making Asher and Jonas enemies… WTF? I can go on. They really messed up an amazing story."
