"In 2013, EHRs conducted a random food test on IKEA Swedish meatballs and found traces of horsemeat. This was reported back to IKEA and they reacted by doing a mass recall. The horsemeat scandal had massive repercussions as a lot of customers were hesitant to eat at IKEA after that."
Most of the whiners aren't even truly offended. They just complain on social media for attention, and it works. It also brings out more whiners.
I grew up watching Looney Tunes and Mel Brooks. Offensive sh#t is hilarious to me.
If you don't eat meat, don't eat meat balls. Fine with me too - Falafel's nice.
okay joo
Whole uproar was not quite about the idea that people were eating horse but rather that it was supposed to be beef and was declared as such by the supplier of the meat to the food manufacturer.
There is something about pre 2013-ish food production system that just does not allow for proper separation of different kinds of meats and before someone decided to dna-test the raw ground meat mix people were eating few percent horse, pork etc in their ground beef meat products all the time.
Not wanting to eath meat is fine, but when it can't touch the samt utensils as real meat it's just obsessive hipster culture.
I know people that need separate utensils for some family members because of severe allergies, but unless you can die from a meat protein you should just stfu and eat your cabbage no matter what else has been on the same grill.
