Celeste, The USA has been a federal republic since 1789. Britain has had a continuous constitutional monarchy since 1688. The British monarchs change over the years but so do the US Executive and Congress.

Proof of that can be found in that the phrase "Make America great again" was prominently displayed on the KKK's newspaper.
But the citizens of The United States and everywhere else can counter this.
Vote. Don't think your one vote won't make a difference. It does.
Speak up against this behaviour especially where it counts, in your own group of family, friends, and colleagues.
Don't wave off your crazy uncle with the maga cap with a "he won't change anyway" thought. He certainly won't change if no one counters the nonsense with logic. Plus, in a small measure he IS influencing others. Publicly challenge and point out the inconsistencies. At the very least for the people around you.
The same as with the people you work with at lunch. Or the guy at the hairdresser that always makes those tired old jokes about gay people and women.
It might not be easy especially in the beginning because all things are hard at first.
But it is necessary lest our society descends into backwardness.
And this goes not only for America but everywhere for the shadow of a new racist and fascist way of thinking has been looming over many countries for some years now.
There is a change that needs to happen in the whole world. And you need to make that change. Chase away the shadow by lighting the flame of logic, truth, and understanding.
It's time for a new slogan.
Make the world THINK again.
Act upon this and we will all be great. Equally great regardless of gender, sexually orientation, religion, political spectrum, or whatever else.
Proof of that can be found in that the phrase "Make America great again" was prominently displayed on the KKK's newspaper.
But the citizens of The United States and everywhere else can counter this.
Vote. Don't think your one vote won't make a difference. It does.
Speak up against this behaviour especially where it counts, in your own group of family, friends, and colleagues.

That you try to make it seem that it's actually democrats that lead the KKK is laughable.
You don't find many pics of KKK rallies that support democrats. KKK rallies that support Trump however...
