Some of these prices/fees people are talking about are crazy, just stay at a real hotel. "I don't want to pay a big corporation", "I want to stay somewhere unique" then you are going to deal with wack jobs. If you need it to be cheap that's one thing but if you can afford a real hotel then you chose to deal with crazy...
I’ve stayed at quite a few AirBNBs - never had any issues. They have the requirements listed before you book your stay so there really shouldn’t be any surprises - can’t complain if you didn’t read the fine print. Pick a different one if you don’t like the rules. I stayed at one in the mountains of North Carolina - no hotel could come close to how nice it was. These are peoples houses so you should expect a little different rules from a hotel.
AirBNB should be outlawed. Another way for those with money to rip off less affluent people and legitimate lodging establishments that PAY taxes that help everyone. Uber, Lyft & AirBNB - ripoffs!
As soon as AirBnb became a business and a means of income it went down hill. People and companies are buying houses just to have them as Airbnb. Big time in tourist towns. People that work for the summer months at the resorts can't afford to rent apartments as they are Airbnb at triple or more the price if it was just a rental.
