Midge, I read a good quote today that is applicable to your comment above. It says "Every man takes the limits of his own field of vision for the limits of the world." -Arthur Schopenhauer
If you dwell on that comment it has meaning deeper than just the words. For you, you haven't had to deal with PCOS, or infertility in general, so you can't begin to imagine how disheartening it can be. For her, the fact that she got pregnant was a miracle to her.
Sometimes people say and do stuff that is stupid and they should be called out for it. This isn't one of those times. Try to be a little more empathetic.
