#8 Since you're cleaning up broken glass while barefoot, you might just as well simply walk around to find any shards you missed.
Saves on flashlight batteries, too.

#8 Good idea... but the BEST way to clean up tiny glass fragments is to use a wet paper towel over the area. The moisture attracts the microscopic particles and traps them for disposal. For carpet, dab the area after vacuming. Its amazing.

Use a flashlight to find small shards of glass if you broke something.

If you’re cleaning broken glass from the floor, it’s a good idea to dim the lights and hold a flashlight parallel to the floor: it’ll make visible the small shards you may have missed.
