The bus where the characters take refuge in season 1 is a Blue Bird TC 2000. This model was manufactured from 1998 to 2003, many years after the time in which the events take place.

Most of these are pointless nit picking. It's not a documentary show.

Well, yes and no. It's mostly things few would notice or know like the year a vending machine came into use, but too many continuation mistakes do get seen. At one point they would be distracting, at least for me.
Especially if it's about things like constantly changing in either wet and dry clothes in a scene.
Most movies and shows avoid these continuation errors by simply having someone take a few pics after a scene and keep track of it.
Not really too much trouble I'd think. They spend enough on detail to make it look like the 80's.
Why not spend a little more and make it all look right?
