Hint: get a home inspection from a qualified professional before signing any papers. Also, listen to said professional and make a wise decision about the house you are about to sign your life away for. There. Some unsolicited advice.

Derrick, as a Home Inspector I agree. It’s especially true with older homes because they’ve had more time for things to fail and more people trying to fix the failure. But in the market right now people still buy houses even with a list of problems - and often that’s OK - but don’t delay getting the worst problems fixed or you’ll end up paying double!
