yeah, but it didnt happen in that gif, right? i can apply multiple IFs to traffic lights as well.... for example all you need is two cars queuing into the intersection...
Timothy, There are several examples like Swindon, Hemel Hempstead, Colchester. We have some stupid road initiatives, like smart motorways, but these roundabout systems actually work pretty well and safely.
#3 Swindon, UK. It looks confusing from above but from a driver's POV it would look like a series of small roundabouts. No doubt some boffin calculated that the traffic flow is more efficient than traffic lights.
Lucas, That would be 304.8mm to actually express what you meant. For f@#k's sake, start employing some precision. It's more important than the measurement system.
Lucas, The metric system was created by the French and accepted by their numerous colonies around the world, and later adopted by most of the former British colonies who wanted to distance themselves from them. Even after they tossed the French out they kept the ingrained system of measure.
#3 Just because someone in another country does it doesn't make it a good idea. Traffic circles / roundabouts reduce fatalities but have higher rates of injury accidents and much higher cyclist involved accidents than most other intersection types.
#34 Most Europeans think its normal to speak more than one language but they lose their minds when they realize that there is more than one system of measurement.

In the States it just takes one malfunctioning traffic light to tie-up traffic and cause everyone to lose their minds.
its got better traffic flow than any traffic light.....
really? its not that busy. slow it down and it shows if more than 4 vehicles get backed in a line the whole things gets stuck.
I think you get why.

Not to mention they're driving on the wrong side of the road!

Yes, but why not make it unidirectional, e.g. all traffic moving clockwise, as in a regular roundabout. I see no advantage to doing it this way.
you dont have to go around the whole thing when your exit is right next to your entry point.... for example right bottom road and right top road...
pure animation
probably multiple images stitched together.... no change its one piece, not enough RAM for that...
#18 - no doubt about it. That dog deserves Bacon.
Oh look, downvotes by cat lovers who would proclaim the same behavior from a cat as "cute". Must s#ck to be them.
Or just eat it yourself
For f@#k's sake, start using metric.
Ell oh ell, I shifted 4 instead of 5 !
Feels like I put my 305mm in my mouth.

I start to think that the whole reason the US is still on imperial, is tolerance.
being 1 inch off is far worse than being 1 centimeter off.
I quote Homer Simpson: "do it the american way: half-@$$ed"
Don't forget degrees Kelvin. Temperature diversity!
