#15 Why on Earth would you not just say "$460 billion?" Why do we need to bring decimals into this?

Jeremiah,

Why are they losers if people find unexploded bombs? There was kinda a lot of fighting in Germany in WW2. And there is naturally a lot left without knowing where.

Jeremiah,

Do you live on this planet? People love death. Ever heard of the Colosseum?

Isabelle,

Actually, even though there were executions in the Colosseum that wasn't the main function. It was more like bloodsport. An extreme and more elaborate version of MMA.

Professional gladiators, which were the usual combatants, rarely died. Not only because you would have trouble finding victims at one point, gladiators cost money to buy and train. Plus letting 2 people untrained in combat fight would result in people... not being entertained.
There were gladiator schools were slaves were selected and trained for a long time. Killing a few of those every day or even one weekly was a waste of money and time.
People did die occasionally yes. But the whole thumbs down resulting in a kill after ever fight is strictly a movie thing.

#17 1,000 years later and it is still the "acting" parliament. When will they finish building the permanent parliament?
