I remember working in an office in '99-'00, and complaining about how terrible Ask Jeeves was. My buddy told me about this new thing called "googol, but spelled wrong." In the beginning, it was soooo much better than it is now. There was no corporate influence, just a bunch of guys who wanted a better search engine. Greed eventually corrupts all things.

All of the great flash animation/game sites like newgrounds, weebl's stuff and homestar runner. These might all still exist, but were around to entertain us long before youtube.

Got my first computer in '85. No big businesses, no jurisdiction, just pure anarchy.

A common saying was "97% of the people online are guys. They other 3%.. are lying."
I am female. Fun times, fun times.

“Not gonna lie, if you kids saw what we could do to our MySpace pages back in the day, you’d flip your sh#t.

Custom backgrounds, musical Playlists right there on our page. And don’t forget the feature that no other social media has dared to attempt due to the absolute wars this started …

… The Top 8 ….

Those of you who were there with me in the early aughts, you know exactly the kind of drama I’m talking about.”
