#5 in my country you can be sick for 6 weeks and get paid by the company, for I think two more years paid by your (mandatory and by the company supported) health insurance and after that you are not automatically fired but your contract is set on halt and you are paid by welfare until you can return to your job. Most people get fired or will leave before that happens. We are one of the top 5 economies in the world iirc
