Olph, I don't know, I kind of like the reactions for a laugh. Like this one for instance - I imagine the guy talking about himself in the 3rd person:

"Hey, what can I say? Dude's got talent man... "

Olph,
Sounds like you're on the internet a little too much.
Try some educational videos or some documentaries on subject you aren't aware of.

#12 That's a sick or injured bird - probably injured by the cat. Cats are the single largest destroyers of small wildlife, killing from 1.4 billion to as many as 3.7 billion birds in the continental U.S. each year and have contributed to the extinction of 63 species of birds, mammals, and reptiles in the wild and are the number one invasive killer of species around the world. Your little murder machines are not so cute anymore, eh?

Mary,
Wrong. PEOPLE who fail to contain their cats or don't de-sex their cats or worse still dump their cats are the single largest destroyers of small wildlife, killing from 1.4 billion to as many as 3.7 billion birds in the continental U.S. each year and have contributed to the extinction of 63 species of birds, mammals, and reptiles in the wild and PEOPLE are the number one invasive killer of species around the world.

Grissel, that's a great argument. Will it also work to forestall the next gun ban?

Mary,

They are still cute. But people should just keep them indoors. Problem solved.

Deborah,
They are an invasive species, indigenous to nowhere, and should be eradicated to restore the balance of nature.

Steven,

I know the damage freeroaming cats can cause which is why it's a good solution to keep them indoors.
But the rest of your reasoning... Yes. Most housecats have evolved like this by living with us. But there are smaller feline species that act very similar in the wild. The behaviour alone is not that different. It's just the number of housecats that's the problem.

And if cats should be eradicated because they became pets and thus are "indigenous to nowhere", than all other pets as well. Kill all our chickens and pigs. They are not natural either then. How about dogs? You seriously want to eradicate puppies???

Or, we can just,... keep cats inside like I suggested. That would restore the balance of nature just as easily.
No eradication necessary.

And if you really think the balance of nature is the most important thing than I expect you to comment a bit more to the climate change deniers on here, unless you want to admit you're a a psychopathic animal killer...
