#1 is the flooded bell tower of the Church of the Vladimir icon of the Mother of God (completed in 1783) on the Vazuza river in Tver, Russia. All of the greenery in the foreground is photoshopped in, btw.

#15 Used to be a US naval base on Adak. A sailor in my boot camp company was assigned there in 1967 (he was a j#rk. I was not displeased). Explains the population drop.
