#20 Most people don't think about it but true. A piano is basically a sideways harp with tapping hammers and the ability to pause the strings. It must withstand huge amounts of force of all those strings.

#20 Old Timey, cheap pianos were wood frames. They would warp over time which is where the 'honkey tonk' out of tune piano comes from. Some Pianos now have a lever that lets the player imitate that sound.

The frame of a piano is made out of iron, not wood, becouse the total string tension of a medium-sized piano is around 25 tones.
