#16 lmao. so now a $50k roof? my double shingled roof costs way less and insulates from extreme temps, therefore using less electricity than a simple panel will save
Con, Might want to look at local laws regarding selling "back" energy to the utility company. Some are actually taxing the home owner trying to do just that so don't just repeat some smarmy green energy talking point. It makes you look ignorant.
Just how much electricity is it generating at night? How much while it's raining? How long will those panels last? Most solar panels are lucky to last 10 or 15 years.
First of all: PV cells like it cold. So, if there is rain or clouds or night, the output is a little bit higher than if you only calculate the light difference.
At night : My panels generate in full moon nights ca. 5% of the peak gain.
Rain: of course, it depends how heavy the rain is, but I don't go under 30% of the peak gain.
Clouds (no rain): I never was going lower than 50 % peak gain.
My modules are guarantied to last 25 years, my business plan told me, that the complete thing (modules, bearings, charge chontroller, alternator and wiring) should pay itself after ca. 12 - 15 years.
I have this setup since 8 years and it looks like it pays itself in the next 4 years. Makes at least 13 years of profit.
Of course, green energy needs a mix anyway, so, ask me about my widmill:
#3 In Scandinavia they've had this "forever". A small fee is paid whenever you buy a drink bottle, and you get it back when you return the bottle/can. The recycle rate is pretty close to 100%.
#14 At the moment we don't need anything about Russia. Until those idiots get rid of the madman in charge who is a menace to the world, all Russians can go f@#k themselves.
So I'm one man or all of them. Decide. It is the same thing to beat up Asian people because you think China caused covid. Well Italian showed us people like you exists.
Not all Russian people want war. And not all Ukrainian are innocent. And if you think war is a bad thing, check out who are playing war... (it is not just the Russians).

that would be fair enough.
But in Germany, you have to pay VAT (Mehrwertsteuer) for electricity, that you consume yourself.
Until 2018, the financial ministry was guided by the middle-right party CDU, they tried to sabotate the green energy in every possible way.
