If by 'us" you mean America, I think you'll find that most of the world is significantly ahead of you when it comes to life quality. I'm in Australia and we have free healthcare, 4 weeks paid leave a year, very little (by comparison) crime, decent coffee, no Jimmy Fallon etc.
