Leonore, Yes, a KitchenAid. Hobart Manufacturing founded their KitchenAid division in 1919, and it was sold off to Whirlpool in 1986. Thus, the Hobart logo on the mixer in the post ensures it was made pre-'86.
Nice conclusion you jumped to, Leonore; there's value in getting things right.
And by the way, it says KitchenAid right on the front of it, and on the instruction manual in the bowl.
