Kilmer has a voice box on his throat as his vocal chords were ruined by the cancer, and that's what's covered up. I've seen his documentary "Val" and he seems to be really embracing his artistic side since he can't do much acting anymore. I think that might explain the new flair.
(I've been a Val Kilmer fan since I first saw "Real Genius" and I recommend the documentary to any other fans out there.)

NONE of these are from "when they started." They're all from when they were simply younger. Weird post...

Despite the name argument, I am quite impressed with the comparison photo sets. They are very close in facial expressions and angles. Kudos! Good job.
