#29, It's the ceramic support plate for the 200 inch Hale telescope mirror that is operating to this day at the Mt. Palomar Observatory in California. The telescope is run by Cal-Tech. Search 'Hale Telescope' for more information.

Answer: “From the looks of the red part, it’s probably a fancy votive candleholder, and the top part is meant to snuff the candle out when you’re done.”
