#1 i don't see a problem here. Armed robbery in Cali is just a misdemeanor.

Midge,

Robbery is always a felony under California law. It is not a “wobbler” offense which can later be reduced to a misdemeanor. In most cases, a robbery conviction will also qualify as a “strike” under California's three-strikes law.

Under California Penal Code 211 PC, you commit the crime of robbery if you take “personal property in the possession of another, from his person or immediate presence, and against his will, accomplished by means of force or fear.” Robbery is a felony punishable by up to 9 years in state prison.

Laodicia, You're not in L.A. are you? Gascon prosecutes nothing but jury duty dodgers.

#20 is pure BS!!!
The 3 rule.
3 minutes without air
3 days without water
3 weeks without food.

No way no how you can sleep for a year without food and drink.
Do get your facts straight please!

Emanuel,

Even with food and drink, after a couple weeks he would have bed sores which would become infected or gangrenous, and he would have died from sepsis.

Emanuel,

You can't expect them to have all facts in a little blurb. A story of him staying in bed for a year may miss out on details of him wakening up for a few hours to go to the loo and a daily meal. Then right back to bed. He was King he could eat in bed and the servants would clean him and his bed pan. He likely had Narcolepsy.

#11 There was an awesome episode of Star Trek DS9 that did this. He did 20 years in a solitary cave prison in a few hours.

If we could ever do this, it would be banned for cruel and unusual if the memories are in any way traumatic. The same technology could help treat PTSD by altering the memories of the traumatic events.
