Stop making things up. Every hospital in the US is required by law to treat people, regardless of their ability to pay. There are all kinds of programs for the poor and unemployed to get medical insurance, paid for by the rest of us. I know bashing the US is your passion, but stop lying.

well, sort of. All hospitals with an emergency room have to treat people under the anti-dumping laws if they have emergency symptoms to stabilize them. Not treat until they are well. Not treat until they have recovered. Just until they are stable. This said, that doesn't change that healthcare of any kind in the US is ridiculously expensive compared to other countries.

Kristine, yes. In Australia we have universal health care and it's not perfect but nobody needs to worry about the cost of necessary treatment. Can't get my head around the idea that so many Americans are against that, like if you allow anything publicly funded it's a slippery slope to communism. It's just medical insurance but subsidised and managed by the government. What's the big deal?
