#6 I agree with the sentiment but it's stated in such a "woke" way that it becomes nauseating. How about teach the boys to have the cooking skill so they can become useful men?

#6 take your little girl by the hand and lead her away from her mommy as they are watching old reruns of Friends with a box of gold fish crackers, and insist that she come out with you to the garage to change the oil on mommy's car with you that Saturday morning. Make her find the right wrench size and where to put the used oil container and how best to use a filter wrench in tight spaces, after she learns how to jack up the car safely and slide under it on a dirty piece of cardboard to remove the oil pan nut. Make sure she identifies every tool while you're at it, and get her involved! Don't let another generation of girls grow up thinking the garage is the domain of men, period, and that mommy can simply sit back and make daddy do car stuff while she stays in pajamas all weekend. Happy car working!!!

Cenia,

My thoughts exactly. If boys are to be feminized, then girls can be masculine. Someone needs to roof houses, lay bricks, clean out sewers and fight wars.

Rilly, I think take gender out of it, teach everyone to be capable in all domains. If someone lacks talent/interest in one thing (e.g., I HATE cooking) put them in charge of something else.

Rilly,
What's feminizing about teaching a boy to feed himself? I was a latchkey kid and I was doing my own laundry, ironing, and cooking at 8 years of age. Additionally, do you know how many of the world's greatest cooks have been and still are male? I think the only thing I can do that a female can't is grow admirable facial hair and get an erection.

#3 I joined Only Grans, but it wasn't what I was hoping for.

#22 I do almost the same thing, but no reds with whites EVER.

I do “lights” and “darks”, so two loads.
