#13 huh, my folks were able to make all us eat stuff we didn't like, they just tried not to serve that very often.

Maybe its you, not the kids

Monna,

You can't "make" kids eat something they don't like. You can, however, not offer them anything else to eat. That's how my childhood worked. And not serving it very often as well.

Rilly,

It can have an adverse affect though.
My father was forced to eat cheese by letting him sit at the table for hours for example and now hates it. Same as my sister was forced to eat fish by an aunt and can't stand it now.

You have to consider your goal. If you want to get your kid to eat healthy, don't just pick a vegetable, especially one that loads of people hate like sprouts, and get them to eat because "The kid should do what I say!" Kids aren't pets.
Experiment and find out which they do like or don't mind so much.

And stop feeding kids candy or sugar or chips when they are young. Or go to fast food places.
Make it a rare treat like it used to be.

After a diet of sugar and processed junk everything else will seem bland.
