And if you want to know about how big 1/4 or 1/10 of an ounce of silver are just look at a quarter or a dime. Despite there being no silver in them for decades the size is still set from when they were made of silver (and a 1/4 or 1/10 of a dollar which were approximately one ounce). And there's your useless trivia for the day...

#10 So... decent, home-owning suburban folk with nice backyards pay their bills, and inner-city degenerates who "pimp their rides" don't? How is this surprising news to anyone?

#12 She only got her title due to the fact that every other Ptolemy was dead. Also, despite being overly romanticized and depicted in movies as beautiful, she was actually a fat, ugly ho whose only "accomplishment" was banging several high-ranking Ro mans. Seriously, look it up. She was actually fat and ugly.

(I had to put a space in "ro mans" because izi says it's "invalid text for publication")

Frank,
Cleopatra was born in Alexandria, so her nationality was Egyptian, but the Ptolemaic Dynasty was almost entirely of Macedonian heritage.
Ptolemy I Soter (which means "savior") was Alexander the Great's general and was gifted the city of Alexandria and Egypt over which to rule. One of his wives was Persian, while the rest were Greek.
Cleopatra was the daughter of Ptolemy XII, and by then there had likely been at least a little intermixing with Egyptian lineage, though not much.
In short, she was a Macedonian Greek Egyptian and one of very light complexion at that. (one thing the movies do get right)

#23 ALL U.S. radio stations speed ALL songs by 5-7% to do the same thing. Buy a CD or LP and play a song you know - it'll sound different. Me? Radio chief engineer for 20 years.
