#3 Since they are all the same size, those coins would be very hard to tell apart in low light and almost impossible for a blind person.

I looked it up. They have slightly different diameters, thicknesses and weights. Much less than a lot of other coins, but enough that there is a difference. I bet it is a problem for foreigners, but suspect locals learn the feel of them pretty quickly.
Some of their bank notes do have the same dimensions (like US bank notes do), but do have different colors at least.

did you just reference color differences for the blind person? lol
but i guess it makes sense to have them since most of the world cant read letters nor numbers.
