Sooner or later, one of these so-called authority figures is going to wind up working for someone who treats others the way they do, and even then the lesson will be lost on them.

Cassandra,

More than likely they already have and that's how they learned to be such a bad supervisor/boss.

#15 don't sleep on the job, how hard is that to puzzle out? You're paid for your work not your rest.

Ditto #43 its illegal to not give breaks or lunch, so that's the issue here. It is not unreasonable to expect workers to, you know, work during their work hours in which they are being PAID TO WORK.

Waldo,

Yep, only one country has bosses like this. Supervisors and bosses in other countries are the paragons of virtuous behavior.

Bernard,

I'm sure there are a few other countries as backwards as the one evident here, but in most developed countries, there are many many laws protecting workers from this kind of cr#p.

Bernard,

There are kids working in mines in Africa. There are nets outside the windows in China’s factories to keep them from committing suicide.
While these bosses are all horrible, at least every single one of the employees have the option to leave and find another job.

First, much of this is bullsh#t. Second, you can't judge a whole f@#king country based on a few @$$holes. Third, a good number of these are just whiny millennial c#nts with no work ethic complaining about their free meals or not being allowed to be lazy. I sure never got free food on the job, and if we couldn't at least pretend to look busy, we got fired.

I once worked in a restaurant that wouldn't let us eat any of the food, ever. We had a daily lunch buffet, and when it was over we had to throw it all away under mgmt supervision so we couldn't take any. A LOT of food got thrown away every single day. A LOT. (we usually found a way...)

Allan,

Eventually they did not want to have their stuff suffering from food poisoning. I think this is very responsible on their act.
