Ophi,
I used to see this every day when I worked in construction, but it was plumbers ruining the work of electricians. I've worked as both, and when I was a plumber working on new construction my boss would look at the roughed-in electrical and tell us to "tear that $h!t out".

Absolutely, but don't ask me to explain it. It was never made clear to us why they did what they did. We weren't in on it, and if our boss has ever caught us behaving that way we'd have gotten more than a talking to, as in a day off without pay. It wasn't revenge because we rarely ran into the same contractors on 2 different job sites. If you know any electrical contractors who work on remodels or new construction, ask them about this.
