"Urban explorer" must mean something different to other people, because all these people sound like they are breaking into private property. Trespassing is a crime once you are caught and notifies.
There's an abandoned Wizard of Oz park (now reopened) that left behind some things that will make you not feel like you're in Kansas anymore.
