I don't mind ads, but the number of ads are quite over the top on this site (and some were pushing political agendas that I personally did not agree with... such as pro-Trump ads.. I hate political ads of any sort). I did not want to see them, so I blocked them. Get rid of those (and the overwhelming number of ads) and I will turn off the ad-blocker and help you out.

I love Izismile, and have every day for 8+ years, after checking out every other funny pic site since the internet was born. I don't use an adblocker, and even click on the occasional ad. I want you to have a thriving website with growing revenue.
So give me more nasal polyps, intestinal worms, and all the funky toenails you can find - I can take it! Just don't go woke - then I'm out.

Thanks for the feedback. Can I see a screenshot ([email protected])? There shouldn't be so much. The regular number of ad units vary. Desktop: 1 in the top + 4 in the sidebar, and 4-7 in-content between pics depending on number images in an article. Mobile: 4-7 in-between content. I'm not mention the Mgid widget below content. As I said before we're working to remove/replace it.

Dunno if you've tried something like Paetron already or if such a thing would even work with your user profiles - but personally, I'd contribute a few bucks every month. And you'd still make more than what you make off ads... dunno just a thought

Guys, understand that by disabling adblockers you not only support izismile the best possible way you can but it's also your biggest contribution to the site's success.
I feel your pain and frustration when facing pop-ups, redirects and other scam on other sites (we don't use any). I realize the reason behind using adblockers.
By this time we didn't use any anti-adblocking solutions and there are plenty of them.
I'm not asking too much. Whitelist izi for a week and see by yourself if you can live with it.
I'm ready to block certain type of ads and/or the number of ads per page. Just give your feedback.
This open discussion has the aim to reach the win-win situation for you - the visitors and the website. I doubt you can ever discuss such things on other resources.
Not trying to persuade the believers that scam is everywhere. The bitter truth is - loosing an adblocker doesn't affect the website from financial standpoint, only hits drop which costs nothing.

I come to this site because it's the best aggregate site for memes, photos, videos and such that I've found. It's fast, you don't have ads in the videos, or any other bullsh#t popup ads for redirects. Who gives a sh#t if my mouse wheel has to scroll a little further past a couple ads, just don't look at them. None of the adds prevents, slows or stops me from viewing the content. Only issue I see is that the first and second posts after the daily gifdump link never works each day.
Y'all just turn off the ad blockers or go find a site better than this (I don't think there is). It's all free. Stop b*tching about something that's free.

I get it. The articles you're talking about published in the gallery view mode. We have two of them a day. To open it with all images on one page click the "List view" button in the bottom left corner, under the image.

Hey Izi, love you guys and come here multiple times daily. I don't use an ad blocker and the ads don't bother me. Don't listen to the complainers. They are getting a ton of content for free, at the cost of having to scroll through a few ads. Big deal. People are utterly spoiled to death, and have nothing better to do than b*tch behind the safety of an anonymous username. You guys keep doing what you are doing and THANK YOU.

Dude you make it sound like Izi is something special when in truth I know of at least 6 other sites that does the same thing, so I'll keep my add blocker on and if Izi goes away I'll just go to one of those.

No way they are going to pay 36-60/yr.
There are simply to many (free/cheaper) alternatives.
I'd like to suggest you let the user decide.
Starting with a 25ct option (still better on average) and add tiers 1, 3, 5 with special functions. Things like custom names and icons on the higher tiers.
Keeping in mind a random user that visits the site every day brings izismile 30ct. Some(/most?) already get it add free by using a blocker.

I don't use an ad blocker and don't mind the ads but I do have a problem with ads sometimes covering the pics/gifs while on my phone

Been here forever, I used to be "Tymusz", but inactivity suspended my account. But I sure wouldn't mind paying for the site if it's ad-free. As long as it's not too much.
From the number of comments /likes per post it seems you don't get a lot of visitors tho?

I don't block ads, I block all illegal tracking and that removes 95% of ads on this site. So maybe look into where you display ads from and how you include them first
