#15 It's best explained as the result of many factors coming together, such as natural disaster, disease, invasions, war, drought, etc. Also, most national identities were built upon military prowess and thus economies at the time depended greatly on bronze. The development of iron metallurgy and it's spreading popularity would have disrupted trade and in the end it all just sort of faded away sometime around 1200-1500 BCE. The dissolution of the Mycenean civilization is a prime example of Bronze Age collapse.

#18 - the reason was he knew he would die in office and would therefore set a precedent that the Presidency was for life. It was not because he "loved democracy."

#19 - The Hunley was incredibly sophisticated for its time and did in fact have depth control. The reason it sank was (most likely) because they were too close to the Housatonic when the explosion happened and were rendered unconscious.
