#11 an #14 could be done with pipe insulation as well. Cheaper and already hollow inside.

Montgomery, The really dangerous part of the door is on the other side. It will sever a finger if trapped.

#14 What? Smashing fingers in doors is important to life lessons. Smash away! Don't take away childhood lessons to make life "easier" it never works.
