#8 Brainwashed from birth.

No normal 8-yr old wants to watch electric cars race.

#5 Looks to me like in Norway, the train conductor doesn't sit in the cab, so I hope they really are superheroes...

The statement between #4 and #5 seems a bit incongruous, but I think they're trying to say Norwegians don't complain about work all the time like most people do. Well, yeah... They get paid more, get lots of vacation time, fewer hours, great benefits and excellent health care.
Here, we get the opposite- unreasonably low pay, massive overtime and excessive work loads, little to no paid leave, poor benefits and the worst healthcare system in the world. Not to mention over-taxation and over-inflated insurance costs. Most people barely make enough to get by, and spend their days toiling to make their bosses and corporations (that don't give a hoot about their employees) rich.
I think we've earned the right to complain...

Assene,
Norwegians get massive wages too. But it balances out. Stuff IS expensive. Mind you, the Social Wealth Fund is only worth $1 trillion, or $250,000 per citizen.

You need three more months to name your baby? Four months wasn't long enough, or do you guys not believe in ultrasounds?

Also, discipline is necessary in child rearing. It helps teach right from wrong, responsibility, and how to treat other people with respect. An issue that's way out of control in today's culture of entitlement.

Arizona,

I was thinking the same thing. Is there a place where the foundation is laid to match the grade of the hill? It must be tough to keep the cement from flowing downhill as it’s poured.

People in Norway don’t treat work the same way we do.

I live in Norway. We discuss work at every lunch with my team. Once I said that it was strange and that we could discuss something other than work at lunch, but my colleagues didn’t understand me. There is a big difference between how we work and how people treat their jobs there.

In winter, Norwegian train conductors wear capes like superheroes.
