"Both Waterworld and The Postman.
I’m a big fan of the post-apocalyptic genre. Kevin Costner was coming off huge after Dances With Wolves and he had two shots at mega-funded films and botched them both. They were corny, badly acted, and way too cheesy for what kind of money was spent to produce them."
Interesting concept, but Jupiter and its moons as another solar system within our solar system fell woefully short of the mark. Do you have any idea what kind of havoc would be caused if a second sun suddenly appeared in our solar system?
A third movie could be made to show how we try to survive the well-meaning but poorly thoughtout intervention of the alien species.
Honestly I liked it but the novelization added some stuff that I'm guessing was cut (mostly more between Mina and Sawyer and the beginning of a possible relationship) that made it better. That being said I've never read the comic which is supposed to be massively better (and fairly different) than both.
Sorry, but Passengers was one of the best movies I've ever seen. Just a pleasant happy ending and no "twist" at the end, just to jolt jaded nerves and emotions.
#12 The story goes that Will Smith turned down The Matrix to do Wild Wild West.
#13 How can the Star Wars sequels not be on this list if they have a prequel. There is already talk to pretend all three did not happen and reboot the whole sequel story over.
