#44 That's one way to spend a ton of money on public schools without educating a single child.
So have there been major advances made in algebra & geometry or are we replacing them with gender & queer theory?

Emanuel,
Americans s#ck at algebra and geometry anyways. Might as well teach 'em something that'll keep their nanosecond attention spans engaged ... like sexual topics and/or how to justify their church-taught hatred of people who are different than they are. Yup.

Ron,

Pretty sure your bigotry about Americans didn't come from any church. Also pretty sure you've spent your life getting your opinions from television.

Emanuel, jeez: CHICAGO (WLS) -- A dumpster filled with books was discovered behind a Chicago Public School Friday in Chicago's Washington Heights neighborhood.
Community members said the books, found outside Kipling Elementary School in the 9300-block of South Lowe Avenue, were in good condition.
CPS said the books were thrown away because they were outdated or in poor condition, and no longer fit for classroom use.
"CPS is focused on ensuring students have access to age-appropriate, relevant reading materials that will enrich their academic experience," said a CPS official in a statement. CPS said the books were disposed of properly.

Ginger,

How is algebra and geometry outdated? It hasn't changed for centuries.

Mandy,
Or the world's smallest something. Ask him, though -- he'd love to show you. That's why he's advertising it.

#10 Adult male elephant seals weigh just over 4,000 lbs, and in spite if their size can move frighteningly fast. (The biggest male ever known weighed 8,818 lbs. -- over 4 tons.) That photo was taken a few miles north of the Port of San Simeon on the California coast, where it is against the law to approach the animals, and really stupid to get that close if you do approach them. If one of them decides to come down on you you'll probably pop like a crushed tomato.
