What is funny is that scientists, who can't predict the weather with any certainty two weeks from now, think they know what the temperature will be 50 years from now, and our governments, which can't solve issues like homelessness and hunger, think they can control the Earth's temperature.

Weather and climate are two completely different things, @$$hat. Once again we have some common moron thinking he knows more than scientists do. Weather is unpredictable because there are too many chaotic variables involved. Climate is the overall average condition of the whole Earth or a specific region over long periods of time. The relative variables are fewer and easier to observe as a whole, which makes patterns more visible and predictable. Go back to school or shut up and stop getting your news from facebook.

Pokey, for f@#k's sake. Pull your head out of the f@#king sand and CARE!!! When you put carbon in the atmosphere it heats the baseline temperature of the Earth, resulting in more extreme weather everywhere. Where I live in Oregon it NEVER got above 100 degrees, now it does for several weeks every summer and is only getting worse. Forest fires - previously extremely rare - have become common and I almost had to evacuate several times. Hurricanes are now much bigger and more devastating. People are DYING while you say "not real, not my problem". Maybe the adults still have the luxury of saying climate change isn't a problem, but our kids don't.

Lindy, climate change has nothing to do with humans. It’s a cyclical change that humans can’t do anything about. It’d be like trying to stop the Earth’s poles from flipping.

It was hotter 130,000 years ago with no SUV's to cause the warming. Notice the "news" says it's the hottest in 120k or 125k years. Yeah, they stop there because it was hotter before that. We're in an interglacial warming period - that means it will continue warming until it switches and heads toward another ice age. Be thankful the temperature isn't dropping or Oregon could be under a lot of ice.

Lonzo, stop being so gullible. When it comes to theories and predictions scientists get it wrong all the time - what you believe in 2023 will be completely different than what they believe in 2123. Look at the 2023 hurricane prediction by “scientists” - they said there would be numerous hurricanes - haven’t had one yet. They have no clue so why the hell would anyone think they know what’s going on with the climate in general? Morons that believe everything they read want us all to run around in fear. Get a life.
