It's proper etiquette not to. The Royal family doesn't because they think it's pretentious.
Also, red wine glasses are shaped differently to hold the base not the stem.
I'm surprised etiquette hasn't been cancelled yet

Ivan,
Not nonsense but common sense. Of course you remove price tags, don't throw sand at other people and don't make a mess while eating (if avoidable). Or hit other people with an umbrella ???? Some of those are really far fetched, never in my life did I hit someone else while squeezing an onion. The one with the rice is nonsense, if it's too loose just use a spoon for f**** sake.

she's expecting way too much of these modern day morons with cell phones. the era of common sense, manners and decorum is long dead compared to the belching, scratching, ignorant slobs of starbucks and mcdonalds.

Fel,

Unlike the sophisticated pre cell phone 80's you mean??? Yes... I remember the sophisticated young men and women, all on the peak of intelligence and physical prowess, that were all around me back then...
Even in preschool there were children not old enough to butter their own bread but many had written scientific papers. I even had a kid in the previous class that had invented a fully functional flux capacitor!
Truly the highpoint of civilization!
Then, unfortunately, one child, a true evil genius, the embodiment of The Mad Scientist created.... the first cell phone.
That was when the dark time began, devolving us all to the level we are on now.
But do not despair! It is foretold a new hero will be born that will smash all cellphones and save us all!
The time of our deliverance will soon be here...

Jennet,

k, are we finished? for starters, I never mentioned any particular age OR generation, for EVERYONE has a cell phone these days, and was aiming more at the corporate dumbing down of America. ironically, though, you floating around still flinging out 'ok boomer' in 2023 shows off more of the narcissistic 'phone' generation than my OP ever could, to say nothing of what I assume you think is some very clever sarcasm. so thanks for the validation of the very thing you profess not to be...a snarky dooche with a cell phone. lol

Jennet,

oh wow lol I already had my say, but here you are with the 'last word' trap? really? the 'save face' tactic you learned from being a troll online because you can't do anything else here? I don't care about any of that. I'll happily have the 'last word' to laugh at you some more because I'd like you to know it. you, the snarky dooche with a cell phone who is sure to read this. thanks! lol now, turn my words back on me, say 'cry more please' or 'triggered' or whatever blah blah blah, but can YOU resist the last word? XD we'll see.

Fel,

I'm pretty sure you absolutely want... no, NEED the last word now... :)
All you have to do is say the word, buddy boy. Tell me. Let me know by leaving a message via your horrible cellphone on this site and you'll have it...Boomer. dance3

Jennet,

LOL and yet you couldn't resist your own. you're so done. you have no more outs and are just repeating yourself, down to using emojis to cover your anger smh. speaking of phones, you're like this kid with his first one, trying to mimic older trolls you follow online while upvoting your own posts. lol I trolled the troll and it was easy.

Fel,

Never said I even wanted to resist. I'm here to have the last word. Unless you say you absolutely want it.
"Down to using emoji the cover anger? How exactly did you come to that to conclusion? But hey, if you want to believe that, fine by me... Let me cover more of my anger....
dance3 clapping 35 green
But tbh you obviously are desperate to believe I'm angry because of....reasons I suppose.
Anyway, I'm here to keep repeating myself ad nauseum until you tell me you need to have the last word.
Just say the word and I'll graciously give it to you.
heart heart heart 27 (Sorry, anger needs to be covered after all...:)

most of these should be called "how to respect other people" it's incredible we need someone on internet to teach this

They were taught. They just failed to learn, and then they tried to blame that failure on someone else.
