I still have a landline, and my answering machine screens all of my calls. The only time I turn the cell phone on is when I am out of the house and need to make a call; then I shut it back off when I am done. It is a very peaceful arrangement.

my landline also rings on my cellphone, and it scares me to death each time it rings because my parents are already dead.
