I have always seen it as shameless self promotion, taking advantage of those innocent people, because otherwise why is it online for all to see? it's like the youtuber and big twitch streamers showing themselves feeding the homelss and making donations to small time streamers. if you were sincere about your act of charity, you wouldn't post it online to all of your social media.
